HSU Receives $1 Million Gift for Prichard Hall
Hardin-Simmons University (HSU) is thrilled to announce a generous $1 million donation from esteemed legacy donors supporting the university’s newest residence hall, Prichard Hall.
As we celebrate the grand opening of Prichard Hall, this remarkable gift helps further enhance the on-campus living experience for students. HSU is deeply grateful to these dedicated donors whose unwavering support continues to shape the future of our campus.
About Prichard Hall
Dedicated on July 30, 2024, Prichard Hall welcomed its first residents this fall. The state-of-the-art facility accommodates 164 students in suite-style rooms. Each suite includes four private bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a shared living room, allowing students to enjoy both privacy and community. Every bedroom is fully equipped with a twin bed, study desk, dresser, and walk-in closet, ensuring students have both comfort and functionality in their living space.
The first floor of Prichard Hall includes an inviting lounge area and full kitchen accessible to all residents, fostering opportunities for community-building and shared experiences. With the hall nearly at full capacity, it reflects the growing demand for on-campus living at HSU, which has seen a 6% increase in residential students this year. This growth underscores the lasting impact of our donors, whose generosity makes it possible to meet the evolving needs of our student body.
